Councillor or alderman sought for MMCA Executive Committee

The Massachusetts Municipal Councillors’ Association, a member group of the MMA, seeks a councillor or alderman to fill a vacancy on the MMCA Executive Committee in District 3.

All MMCA Executive Committee members also serve on the MMA Board of Directors. This position is for the remainder of the 2012 calendar year.

Any councillor or alderman from the following cities may apply: Amesbury, Beverly, Gloucester, Haverhill, Lowell, Lynn, Methuen, Newburyport, Peabody, Salem or Woburn.

The MMA and MMCA board meetings are held eight Tuesdays per year in Boston, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Board service also includes attendance at regional MMCA meetings, usually held three times during the year, generally on a Wednesday or Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

The MMCA Nominating Committee will interview nominees.
