What members are saying about the MMA Annual Meeting…
“The MMA Annual Meeting & Trade Show is the best opportunity of the year for municipal leaders to learn about the latest developments in government, law, management, technology and equipment. The information you pick up here you will use all year.”– Robert G. Logan, Councillor, Waltham, and MMA President
“This meeting is a must-attend event because of the value of the information provided, which reflects the current and significant needs of most local leaders in the Commonwealth. … As a result of last year’s meeting, we implemented a new approach to budgeting that enabled us to make more accurate and understandable descriptions of how we provide services.”– Daniel Bianchi, Mayor, Pittsfield
“I will be going this year because our financial resources are increasingly limited and there is increasing pressure to provide necessary services. We have to make tough decisions while being more effective and efficient in our use of those resources – more creative – so I will be seeking ideas and help.”
– Carolyn Ness, Select Board member, Deerfield
“Networking with colleagues from across the state is my primary reason for attending. We are all facing similar challenges. The workshops and informal networking opportunities provide me with ideas for tackling those challenges in Needham.”
– Kate Fitzpatrick, Town Manager, Needham
“For me, Annual Meeting is the ultimate networking event. The energy, camaraderie, information and Trade Show give me inspiration to continue public service – and new ideas to bring back to Lexington!”
– Denise Casey, Human Resources Director, Lexington
