Despite state financial worries and turmoil at the national level, the full amount of first quarter local aid payments totaling $1.266 billion were wired to city, town and school district bank accounts today as scheduled, according to the state treasurer's office.

Revenues to make the payments came from a combination of available funds, short-term borrowing and the state stabilization fund.
