We each may have opportunities to confer with our neighboring communities, but we don’t necessarily get the opportunity to work with, or even meet, people from across the Commonwealth. To me, that opportunity to learn and share from a wide range of peers is one of the great values of Connect 351.

Connect 351 provides a valuable opportunity for municipal leaders to come together and learn from each other. I am passionate about this work, and I am involved in it because of the people that I continually interact with. Interactions I’ve had at Connect 351 have shaped my approach to policy and helped me to better advocate for my community.

Just before the intense season of budget-setting, Town Meeting and spring elections, the reboot provided by Connect 351 is just what I need: inspiring speakers, engaging presenters, and discussions with colleagues who are just as passionately dedicated to serving their communities.

Connect 351 is something I look forward to every year. When you get together like this and get to be able to share ideas with each other and learn how not to reinvent the wheel, but also not remake the same mistakes someone else made, you build a stronger Commonwealth from the street level up.

The conference that the MMA hosts for us to kick off the year is a place where you can interact with so many different professionals from all different communities of all different sizes and folks with different experiences.
