Registration is now open for the 13th annual Housing Institute, which will be held on June 5 and 6 in Devens.

Geared toward officials, volunteers and employees in suburban and rural communities, the Housing Institute engages participants in discussion and problem solving around the development of affordable housing.

Topics expected to be covered this year include affordable housing finance, a policy and legislative update, predevelopment feasibility, regional strategies for affordable housing, data 101, making density work for your community, municipal affordable housing trusts, the Community Preservation Act, and municipal finance and housing.

The keynote speaker will be Tiffany Manuel, president and CEO of TheCaseMade, a nonprofit that works to strengthen the capacity of leaders to make the case for more inclusive communities and to effectively tackle all forms of social, racial and economic inequality. She will speak at lunchtime on June 5.

The Housing Institute, to be held at the Devens Common Center at 31 Andrews Parkway, is co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Housing Partnership, Citizens Housing and Planning Association, Metropolitan Area Planning Council, and the Mel King Institute for Community Building.

The cost for municipal planners, volunteers and nonprofits is $100 to attend both days or $50 for one day. Communities sending two or more people will receive a 20 percent discount on each registration (enter code TEAM20 on payment page).

The registration deadline is May 24.
