AG to hold trainings on town bylaw review process

The Municipal Law Unit of the Attorney General’s Office will be holding a series of five free training sessions around the state in early 2018 on the procedure for submitting town bylaws to the office for review.
 
Municipal Law Unit staff will explain the bylaw review procedures under Ch. 40, Sec. 32, and the process for amending zoning bylaws pursuant to Ch. 40A, Sec. 5.
 
Trainings will be offered on the following dates and locations, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
 
• Jan. 11 at Stockbridge Town Hall, 50 Main St.
• Jan. 23 at Ashland Town Hall, Board of Selectmen’s Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, 101 Main St.
• Jan. 30 at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road
• Feb. 28 at Billerica Town Hall, 365 Boston Road
• March 7 at Deerfield Town Offices, 8 Conway St.
 
Town clerks and staff, town planners, planning board members and staff, and any other interested local officials are invited. RSVP with your preferred location to Municipal Law Unit Director Margaret Hurley at margaret.hurley@state.ma.us.
