Many municipalities are currently facing challenges in diversifying the ranks of their police departments. Even in some of the most diverse cities, many police departments remain mostly white and mostly male. This workshop explored some of the barriers to increasing diversity in public safety and strategies that municipal employers can use to increase diversity.
