The town of Westwood seeks exceptional candidates for the position of Assessor. This is a Department Head position, providing professional, administrative, supervisory, and technical work directing the operations of the Assessing Department, in accordance with state and local statutes and regulations, as well as the policies of the Board of Assessors.  The Assessor will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all assessment information for the town. Qualifications and experience include: Bachelor’s degree with courses in business, finance, property assessment, and computer applications; minimum three years of municipal assessing experience. Strong computer and communication skills required. Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Accredited Assessor (M.A.A) certification required. Current salary range to $87,000, but will be commensurate with experience.
