The town of Nantucket seeks an experienced professional for the position of Assistant Treasurer. Under the direction of the Treasurer, the Assistant performs detailed tasks that require knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, cash receipts and applicable Massachusetts General Laws regarding finance. An associate’s degree in finance, accounting, business or similar field and three years of experience in a related field of study preferred; Candidate must be willing to achieve MCTA certification and meet the requirements of M.G.L Chapter 41 Section 39A & 39C. Must have the ability to be bonded. Full-time; Benefits; Union Position; Hourly Rate $29.40 - $30.87.
