Watertown Public Schools seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of Human Resources. The Director serves as the principle advisor to the District in matters related to all personnel functions including recruitment, hiring, induction, licensure, regulatory compliance and reporting, policy administration, discipline, supervision and evaluation, collective bargaining, contract administration, payroll and benefits, and record-keeping. He/she will serve as a member of the leadership team and participate in formulating policy and making decisions regarding system-wide planning, resource allocation, and labor/employee relation issues. He/she will serve to strengthen a culture that values and honors a well-qualified, diverse, and dedicated staff and provide leadership to enhance the roll of staff to maximize educational opportunities for all students. Bachelor’s degree in education, business, public administration, or equivalent required with master’s degree preferred. Five to seven years of school or municipal personnel experience with a proven track record of successful leadership and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all constituents desired. Active MA DESE Administrative Licensure preferred. Strong competency with technology, specifically HRIS and personnel relates systems desired.
