The Malden Redevelopment Authority is looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for specialized technical work, including property inspections and related tasks, associated with the agency's Residential Rehabilitation/Lead Paint Abatement Program. Essential duties/responsibilities/skills include: Develop specifications and cost estimates for residential and commercial rehabilitation/lead paint abatement work. Supervise rehabilitation and lead paint abatement work by contractors working under the MRA program. Perform inspections of buildings for structural safety and review construction plans to ensure compliance with established standards for rehabilitation and lead paint abatement. Resolve construction/rehabilitation related problems discovered through inspection and work to determine solutions. Three years minimum construction experience required or equivalent. Construction Supervisors License and Lead Renovation, Repairs and Painting Certification are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
