Under the general supervision of the City Solicitor, Deputy and First Assistant City Solicitors and Office Manager, the administrative assistant will assist the Office Manager in the daily operation of the office. Position requires strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills in executing an assortment of legal work. One year of legal experience, two preferred. High school diploma or equivalency. Knowledge of court rules and procedures is essential as well as familiarity with legal terminology. Some advanced legal training or experience preferred, including paralegal training and/or experience. Strong telephone and oral communication skills. Accurate typing skills of 30 mailable words per minute, 50 preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook for Windows) required. $22.27 – $31.11 per hour + excellent benefits.
