Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
Assists the Office Manager in executing an assortment of legal work that requires strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Types legal pleadings, briefs, opinions, contracts, deeds, leases, ordinances, and legislation as requested. Maintains legal docket, case files, and card catalog systems and office library. One-year legal experience required, two preferred. Knowledge of court rules and procedures as well as familiarity with legal terminology. Typing 30 mailable words per minute, 50 preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and be comfortable with and have ability to learn new software applications, including but not limited to claims, public records, and litigation management software. $22.27 – $31.11 per hour.
