Compensation and Benefits
Pay Per a Year: $40,000.00-$52,000.00
Definition:
This is a full-time position consisting of a 35 hours per week Monday – Thursday evening meetings per month. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
General Office Duties: Assist citizens and professionals with BOH information and responding to phone inquiries includes reviewing various complaints, looking up information in existing files and guidebooks; answering questions pertaining to public health regulations, returning phone calls; filing documents, sorting and reviewing mail, posting of special meeting notices, cable advisories, newspapers and other public information such as flyers, posters and clinic notifications; interoffice correspondence with other town departments; preparing various correspondence (memos, letters, proposals, etc.); submitting all fiscal financial reports, inspector activity, revenue and compensation for the Annual Town Report; scheduling, attending and documenting all Board of Health meetings; attend; when necessary making sure information is made available to the public about flu clinics; provide updated information for town website, monitoring all emails that come to the BOH office, including tobacco, recalls on food products and most recently the increased responsibility for the Board of Health relating to Emergency Preparedness.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in office administration/management with a minimum of five years experience in a municipal setting and in dealing with the public strongly preferred; or, any equivalent combination of education and experience.
