The Assistant Assessor performs skilled routine to complex technical work involved in appraising and examining all types of real property for assessment purposes. Assists the Chief Assessor to carry out the functions of the office & other assessing work, as required by Massachusetts General Law.
The qualified candidate has a minimum of high school diploma; two years of real estate, assessing and/or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They are highly organized and analytical, with keen attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines within a high-volume environment.
