The town of Natick is seeking highly qualified candidates for the full-time position of Assistant Director, Farm.

The position is responsible for overseeing the management of all educational services (school, public & summer programs) and education staff.  Managing and educating a diverse ever-changing work force comprised of seasonal workers, volunteers of all ages (youth – senior citizens) and people with physical and mental disabilities. Works collaboratively with the Livestock Manager, Community Programs Coordinator and the School & Scouts Program Coordinator to ensure the delivery of daily, weekly & seasonal programs to schools, community groups.  Creates both short & long term strategies to ensure that programs meet the needs of the community and our partners within the Natick school system. Assists the Executive Director with day to day operations.

Bachelor’s degree in sustainable agriculture or organic agriculture; environmental education, animal husbandry or a related field is preferred. Candidates must have at least five years experience in hands on education and five to seven years work experience in environmental education, organic agriculture or related field. Demonstrated practical experience working with and educating youth and volunteers required.

The position is a Grade 2 of the Personnel Board Pay Plan with salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time exempt position. Natick offers excellent employee benefits.
