The town of Sturbridge is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly qualified professional to serve as Assistant Director of Public Works.
This senior-level management position works under the general direction of the Director of Public Works and plays a key role in the planning, administration, and daily operations of the department of Public Works. The Assistant Director assists in managing a wide range of public works functions, including infrastructure maintenance, capital projects, budgeting, personnel supervision, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a strong background in municipal public works management.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge of civil engineering, with three to five years of related experience.
