Pay: $1,468.11 – $1,859.75 Weekly
The town of North Attleboro Department of Public Works is seeking an Assistant Director of Public Works. This position is responsible for the daily administrative and operational functions of the Department of Public Works.
Manages operations of divisions of the Department including administration; manages capital projects and maintain quality control of projects; communicates with division managers to ensure work is accomplished and problems are identified. Prepares the operating budget and the capital improvement plan in accordance with policies of the Department; reviews financial matters and provides advice on financing strategies. Assists customers, other town Departments, contractors, developers on all issues relating to the Department of Public Works; oversees special projects.
Bachelor’s degree required in business or public administration, engineering or a related field preferred and seven to 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in public works administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license required. MA T-3 Water License and MA UST Class A Operator License is desired.
