The town of Braintree is seeking an Assistant Director of Public Works – Engineering, to provide complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and supervising the engineering related divisions of the Department of Public Works (DPW), including Engineering, Solid Waste, Traffic and Water and Sewer. Works under the general direction of the Director of Public Works. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; five years of experience in street, traffic, water and sewer construction engineering; or any equivalent combination of education and experience, including experience in a management capacity; strong municipal management background highly desirable. Required to be licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer. Valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license.
