The city of Salem (pop. 43,000) seeks qualified and experienced applicants for position of Assistant Finance Director. Position plays a critical role in the financial operations of the department, responsible for developing and fostering relationships with all municipal departments, overseeing and ensuring proper daily posting and reconciliation of financial activities, coordinating monthly reporting and monitoring of budget to actual activity. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related discipline required, along with a minimum five to eight years’ relevant budget/accounting experience.
