Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The Assistant Director assists in execution, planning, directing and overseeing the activities and operations of the library. The ideal candidate is an innovator, a problem solver, a skilled leader, and a strong multitasker. Assists in day-to-day management of personnel and library services, resolves complaints that cannot be solved at a lower level, assists development and implementation and evaluation of library programs/services, and trains/supervises/supports library staff.
Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree in library and information science and professional library and supervisory experience.
