The town of Needham’s Public Health division seeks an engaged individual for the grant-funded position of Assistant Shared Services Manager. This role provides support in the management of the Public Health Excellence programs including the Charles River Public Health District (a collaborative agreement among the towns of Needham, Dover, Sherborn, and Medfield) and the North Central MetroWest Local Public Health Training Hub, made up of forty-three communities in Eastern Massachusetts.

This role serves as a trainer and primary contact for local public health officials in designing and implementing state and individualized programs and initiatives within each partner community. The Assistant Shared Services Manager oversees three employees and is required to serve as part of the environmental health response team in emergency scenarios. The ideal candidate is eager to build and maintain strong relationships with municipal employees and officials, community-based organizations, and other training hub providers to ensure the success of programs, education, and outreach efforts.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Term position through June 30, 2027, extension contingent upon grant funding.

Salary Range: $74,703 – $100,521 annually
