Working under the general direction of the Superintendent of Public Works, this position is responsible for assisting the Superintendent of Public Works in the daily operation of the Department of Public Works (DPW). Work includes overseeing the daily operation of six divisions, supervising staff, coordinating projects, ensuring for the efficient and effective use of equipment and personnel, preparing job specifications, formulating cost estimates, assisting in the preparation of the department budget, and ensuring for the efficient and effective operation of department and division operations. Employee acts as the DPW Superintendent in the Superintendent’s absence.
