The town of Leicester is seeking a full-time Assistant to the Town Administrator.  Working under the direction of the Town Administrator, this position is responsible for providing a variety of complex administrative, analytical and professional duties including leading the daily office activities of the Select Board, preparing agendas, packets and meeting minutes, licensing businesses, managing the town’s insurance, processing department payroll and invoices, managing department budgets and assisting with human resource and IT functions.  This position requires attendance at bi-weekly Select Board evening meetings to take minutes.  Bachelor’s degree or three to five years administrative experience, preferably in a municipal setting, required, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.   The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, extremely detail oriented professional who can work with employees, volunteers and the general public with ease. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, self-prioritization and impressive organization skills.
