The town of Swampscott is seeking a qualified full-time Assistant Town Accountant. This job is responsible for assisting the Town Accountant in performing administrative and technical work in monitoring, directing, and auditing the town’s municipal accounting system and computer network.  Serves as department head in the event of the temporary absence of the Town Accountant. Employee is required to perform all similar or related duties.

Must have an associate’s degree in accounting or related field, one to three years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
