ASSISTANT TOWN ACCOUNTANT
The town of Medfield is seeking qualified collaborative-minded candidates for the position of Assistant Town Accountant. Join our welcoming, dynamic, and cohesive Finance Team. A bachelor’s degree in accounting required; municipal accounting experience preferred; working knowledge of GAAP and GASB as well as familiarity with Massachusetts municipal finance laws and MA General Laws; familiarity with municipal financial software applications and Uniform Massachusetts Accounting Standards (UMAS) preferred; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Salary starts at $67,885 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.
