The Town of Southbridge is seeking a qualified person to fill the newly created position of Assistant Town Manager/Director of Human Resources. The successful candidate will perform administrative and professional duties to include reviewing, evaluating, and advising the Town Manager on a wide range of Town-related issues, participating in the development of long-range plans, strategic initiatives, and the annual budget; is responsible for the coordination and direction of human resources and risk management; represents the Town Manager and the Town at public meetings, forums, and events; serves as a key member of the senior leadership team; and performs all other related work as required.
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, human resources, or related field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience. Master’s degree in public administration or advanced degree in a related field preferred.; three to five years’ senior experience municipal management or human resource administration; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to become bonded. A demonstrated knowledge of municipal functions, finances, operations and human resources administration.
Hiring salary range begins at $83,535.66 per year.
