Assistant Town Planner
The town of Grafton is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Town Planner. Under the direction of the Town Planner, this position is responsible for providing technical support to the Planning Board/Department and performs a variety of duties related to current and long-range planning and development within the town. Assists with: review of land use/development applications; updating of various town development regulations and plans; conducting studies and analyses regarding various planning and development issues; and, providing technical assistance to planning and development-related town boards and committees. Familiarity with Massachusetts Subdivision Control Law and Zoning Act (MGL c.40A) desirable. Strong oral and written communication skills, and experience with word processing and spreadsheets, is required.
Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree in planning, geography, public administration or related field, and three years of planning-related experience, preferably in municipal government. Any combination of education and experience will be considered. Salary range: $34,811 – $59,179, with benefits, depending on qualifications.
