Town of Rockport | Assistant Town Treasurer/Collector

The Town of Rockport seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Treasurer/Collector.  Reports to the Treasurer/Collector and assists in the billing and collection of taxes, reconciliation of accounts, processing of payments, preparation of bank deposits and other assigned projects.  Oversees two departmental employees.  Ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field and a minimum of three years management experience; municipal finance experience a plus.  Must have advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office products, and the ability to learn quickly new software.  Must be able to work independently, have more than ordinary courtesy and tact and interact effectively with diverse groups and establish positive public relations for Town and Department; excellent communication and customer service skills a must. $45,500.00 – $50,000.00/Annual DOQ.
