The Assistant Treasurer will perform skilled accounting and administrative work in assisting the Treasurer/Collector in the custody and accounting of all monies due to the Town.

The Assistant Treasurer is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control.

The primary responsibilities of this position are the coordination of benefits and payroll for approximately 500 Town employees and 400 retirees as well as general oversight of school employee benefits.
