The city of Worcester seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Treasurer and Collector of Taxes to oversee the city-wide treasury operation including the investment of public funds, cash management, forecasting, debt service payments, payroll and accounts payable.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; five years of management experience in general accounting and reporting including or in addition to three years of experience with payroll and payroll compliance. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Candidates must have experience with a robust, high transaction volume financial system; highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel; and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

SALARY RANGE: $76,722.85 – $118,561.71 annually, commensurate with qualifications. Full-time, exempt, excellent benefits package.
