The town of Tewksbury seeks qualified applicants for the full time position of Assistant Treasurer/Collector. The position reports to the Town Treasurer/Collector and assists in the billing and collecting of taxes, reconciliation of accounts, cash/debt service management, processing of payments, preparation of bank deposits, tax title and other assigned projects. The Assistant will act as Treasurer/Collector in their absence. Preference will be given to candidates with the following credentials: a bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, and at least three years of experience in municipal government or financial management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of MUNIS as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.) is essential. Applicants must possess excellent communication and customer service skills. The position is under the town’s Personnel Administrative Plan and the salary range is $65,181 – $81,337.
