The Department of Facilities is looking for applicants for the position of Building Operations Manager to manage the building operations and maintenance of a diverse portfolio of buildings owned or controlled by the town of Andover. Duties include supervise and direct the repairs and maintenance performed by trade staff and contracted services, as well as coordinate minor renovations and constructions projects.

Supervisory responsibilities include manage approximately 14-20 permanent and seasonal staff, including the working foreman in their assignment of daily work orders and scheduled preventative maintenance. Mentor and train personnel, while fostering a culture of proactive behavior by inspecting buildings and all related infrastructure for preventative repairs and identification of capital improvement projects.

Duties require a minimum of five years’ experience working in the field of maintenance operations and some level of formal trade education; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  MA Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC or Building Construction license required.  Position requires 24/7 response.
