Business Assistant, Zoning Board of Appeals (Part-Time)

This part-time position performs administrative and technical work for the Zoning Board of Appeals, as well as frequent staff support to the Building Department. Must provide a variety of complex professional support in connection with board relations, public records, hearings and decision letters, while educating the applicants on zoning regulations. This position works both independently and as part of a Building Department team with a focus on excellent customer service. Some evening meetings are required. Range for this position (typically 19.5 hrs/week) is $13.87-$25.00 per hour, DOQ. Graduation from an accredited college or university and at least two years of experience in an office environment are preferred. Knowledge of municipal government, land use regulations and Mass General Laws is advantageous.
