The town of York, a coastal community comprised of the villages of Cape Neddick, York Harbor, York Village and York Beach, is accepting applications for the position of Center for Active Living Program Coordinator.

The town of York is seeking an experienced, motivated, and self-driven Program Coordinator for  our Center for Active Living. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily programming of the Center and in cooperation with the Center for Active Living Director and to develop, implement and administer programing for the community. Work will include coordinating the work of program staff, coordinating the program schedule, managing the participant database, and acting as one of the Center for Active Living liaisons to outside groups.

A four- year college degree and at least three years of experience in the field of recreation-based programming; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Some experience working with older adults and/or successful group leadership preferred, but not required.

The position is a full-time, exempt, non-bargaining, position. Starting salary range is $59,726.82-$68,708.76 dependent upon experience and qualifications. The town of York follows a salary step schedule which provides an estimated 5% increase plus COLA every year for the first three years of employment and then every third year subsequent to that. The town also offers a benefit package including health insurance, life insurance, and two retirement plan options, a generous paid time off policy, and 12 paid holidays.
