Chemist/Asst. Supervisor

General Statement of Duties:

Manages the complete operation of the Water Treatment Plant laboratory and assists in the supervision of the operation and maintenance of the Methuen Water Treatment Plant, and, in the absence of the Water Treatment Plant Superintendent, assumes duties and responsibilities of that position.

Qualifications:

Must have a comprehensive knowledge of EPA and MassDEP drinking water regulations and the ability to maintain state certification of WTP lab for analysis of potable water. Candidate will be required to obtain a minimum of T3 drinking water license with a four-year timeframe from date of hire. Must have ability to acquire a thorough knowledge of the WTP operations, practices, and procedures, and of the tools, materials and equipment utilized in the performance of maintenance and repair of WTP systems. Must meet minimum qualifications for Laboratory Director and Laboratory Supervisor.

Salary: $1540.54-$1740.16
