The city of Salem (population 42K) seeks qualified applicants Chief Assessor. Position falls under Finance Department and is responsible for administrative and technical tasks related to valuation/re-evaluation of residential, industrial, and commercial real estate and personal property in city. Provides financial information, analysis and consultation to Board of Assessors, Finance Director and city’s planning and economic development boards. Must possess state certifications of MAA and either CAE or CMA w/in two years of appointment. Must maintain MAA certification through continuing education.
