PAY: Up to $92,000 per year commensurate with experience

Professional, administrative, and technical work supervising and directing the Assessors’ office, including appraisal of residential, commercial, and industrial property; Serves as a member of the town’s management team to provide critical financial input concerning the town’s overall budget, new growth estimates and forecasts, tax rate spilt information and recommendations, and direct input on the overall levy appropriation creation. Participates as a member of the town’s management team in developing policies and identifying objectives for personnel management and collective bargaining. Prepares statistical analysis, spreadsheets, reports, forms, and valuation information for the Board of Assessors; prepares necessary information for the Board of Assessor’s certification of the annual tax rate. Administers Appellate Tax Board cases; Analyzes real estate market conditions to determine market changes and assess their impact on assessment; perform other related work, as required.

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred; five or more years of experience in assessment administration, real estate, or related business experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a Valid license to operate a motor vehicle and be a Massachusetts Accredited Assessor (M.A.A.).  Certified appraiser highly desirable.
