We require understanding of and adherence to a community policing philosophy, and a Chief who will support a highly dedicated, well-trained, and well-equipped team of diverse officers.
The Scarborough Police Department serves 21,000 residents and supports the industries and businesses that employ an additional 16,000 people who work here daily. The department has an authorized strength of 81 employees, including 40 sworn officers; who respond to approximately 33,000 service calls per year and proactively address police issues, crime prevention, and quality of life concerns.
