Chief Operator, Wastewater Treatment Plant

The town of Medfield is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as Chief Operator of their Wastewater Treatment Plant. Position requires a combination of technical expertise in wastewater treatment processes, leadership skills, and in-depth understanding of environmental regulations. The right candidate will be an integral part of the public works team while managing the functions of the wastewater treatment plant and pumping station operations.

The position includes the supervision of three full-time employees, may require working beyond regular scheduled hours, the ability to attend evening meetings as required, and respond to emergencies 24/7.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in science with five to seven years of related experience, or any combination of education, experience, and training.

The applicant must have a Massachusetts Grade 6 wastewater treatment license. Possess or be able to obtain CDL Class B drivers, and Massachusetts Class C hoisting licenses.
