Chief Water Operator – Treatment
The town of Holliston is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Chief Water Operator – Treatment. This position provides supervision of the operation and maintenance of the water treatment facilities, pump stations, and performs oversight of the town’s water quality management.
Position requires working knowledge of methods, techniques, principals and practices of water treatment. 10 years related experience is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Massachusetts Certified Water Operator’s License, Grade 2T (Treatment) with the ability to obtain a grade 3T (Treatment) within one year of hire or equal level of another state with ability to transfer through reciprocity.
Thorough knowledge of water operations, practices, and procedures is required. Must have ability to utilize personal computers, data terminals, and specialized software application packages to perform related duties such as pump flow and chemical usage data, etc. Working knowledge of SCADA and data entry software such as H2O is required.

Pursuant to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Holliston and the Massachusetts and Northern New England Laborer’s District Council of the Laborer’s International Union of North America (CBA), this position is classified as Grade L7, and the salary range is $31.59 – $41.54. Salary will be dependent upon experience and qualifications. This is a full time, benefit eligible position at 40 hours per week.
