The city of Lowell is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of City Engineer in the Department of Public Works, Engineering Division. This position reports to the Public Works Commissioner and City Manager and is responsible for the management, leadership, administrative, technical and supervising work in planning, organizing and directing the operations of the Engineering Division. Minimum Requirements: bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with seven to 10 years of technical and professional experience in civil engineering work in such areas as construction, survey, design, transportation, hydraulics, structural, sanitary, drafting, environmental, highway, architectural, soils and material in which three were in a supervisory capacity is preferred. Master’s degree desired. Computer skills/ experience in CAD required. Registration as a PE by Commonwealth of MA required. Salary range: $95,424.68 to $112,084.44.
