The town of Dennis seeks dynamic individual with for the position of Civil Engineer.
The Civil Engineer performs supervisory and civil engineering work relating to the design, construction and maintenance of assigned town engineering projects.
Candidates should have thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices such as roadway design and construction techniques, sewer design and construction, drainage design and construction, hydraulics and hydrology; knowledge of roadway, sidewalk, sewer, water and drainage maintenance and repair techniques. General knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations governing the municipal infrastructure and the state bidding regulations and working knowledge of CAD technology systems in support of department operations.
The minimum qualifications for the position include bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with three to five years of related work experience with a focus on municipal public works or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires a valid motor operator’s license and preferred Professional Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
