The town of Danvers is seeking applicants for the full-time (benefitted) position of Civil Engineer II for the Civil Engineering Department. This position coordinates and manages all Capital Improvement and Subdivision Projects maintains databases, performs survey and layout assignments, and provides support for town DPW Supervisors as requested for small municipal projects. This is a FLSA exempt union position.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and a minimum one to five years of professional civil and environmental engineering work in design, project and infrastructure management experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) certified through the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveying (NCEES) is preferable or must be able to pass the exam within two years of employment. This position works 40 hours per week (Mondays – Wednesdays 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; Thursdays 7 a.m.– 7:30 p.m.; Fridays 8 a.m.–11 a.m.) Union pay scale, starting at $63,755 annually, with ability to move through scale (via step system) to the max step at $83,184, annually.
