The town of Lincoln seeks a full-time Land Steward to work under the direction of the Conservation Director and Land Manager. This is primarily a field position with some office responsibilities. Duties include field and trail maintenance, invasive plant species control efforts, educational outreach, and land monitoring. Land Steward helps supervise seasonal and volunteer workers. Must be able to function independently, do physical labor in all weather conditions, and be effective dealing with the public. One to three years experience required in natural resource management with the ability to use, and provide maintenance on, power equipment and vehicles (such as chainsaws and tractor). Must have a working knowledge of local natural history (especially plant identification) and good computer skills. B.S. or B.A. in the environmental sciences preferred. Starting pay is $22.02-$23.37/hour, based on experience.
