The town of Needham’s Public Health Division seeks highly qualified individuals for the position of Contact Tracer, to assist and support the town’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are multiple positions available to assist the Division with contact tracing responsibilities, primarily over the weekend and during some evenings. Per Diem Contact Tracing positions may also be available. Weekly workload is expected to be approximately 8-10 hours a week, and the pay rate is $30/hr.

The Contact Tracer will support epidemiological investigations, answer questions from and assist individuals with COVID and close contacts of COVID cases. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or a related field along with some professional work experience. Students pursuing a graduate degree in public health, social work, or a related field would fit well in this position with flexible work hours.
