The town of Boxborough seeks a part-time van driver to transport Boxborough seniors (60+ years of age) and/or disabled Boxborough adults to and from destinations within the Town of Boxborough and nearby towns. The driver will operate a Montachusett Area Regional Transit Authority (MART) passenger van with a wheelchair lift, assisting passengers in and out of the van and securing wheelchairs, if needed. Responsible for collecting fares, data tracking, daily vehicle inspection, vehicle cleanliness and reporting any problems or damage.
Driver must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record, and must undergo training by MART. High School graduate or equivalent. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Successful candidate will receive ongoing training and must submit to random drug testing.
$17.02/hour. This is a part-time position, approximately 6.5 hours/week. CORI check and preemployment physical/drug testing required.
