The town of Lancaster (population 8,000) seeks an energetic and compassionate professional for the  critical role of COVID-19 Coordinator. This is a 20-30 hours per week position which offers the opportunity to work remotely at times.   The Coordinator, who plays a key role in the development and implementation of the town’s health response to the COVID-19 pandemic, will work in conjunction with town, regional and state agencies to distribute information about COVID-19 and ensure that residents, schools, school staff, students, and families have access to vaccinations, equipment, supplies, testing  and other pandemic-related needs that may arise.  Designing and implementing creative and appealing ways to reach the town’s unvaccinated population is a critical part of the role.

Lancaster, a historic and scenic town in the heart of North-Central Massachusetts, has engaged citizens and an innovative, supportive Board of Health. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to help our residents cope with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Qualified applicants will have a passion for public health outreach, a commitment to working with a diverse and inclusive community, at least a high school degree and preferably a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, 1 or more years of experience, ideally in a health care related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and ranges from $25/hour to $40/hour.
