The town of Leicester is seeking a full-time Department Assistant in the Development & Inspectional Services (DIS) Department. Working under the direction of the Town Planner/DIS Director, the Department Assistant is responsible for providing skilled administrative and clerical services including preparing board/commission meeting agendas and packets, taking meeting minutes, processing permits, preparing memoranda, forms and reports, preparing the department’s payroll, maintaining records and monitoring department income and expenditure. This position requires attendance at monthly Board/Commission evening meetings to record and prepare meeting minutes. Salary range is $15.24 to $19.05 per hour, depending on qualifications.
