Littleton seeks qualified candidates for the position of DPW Director/Town Engineer. Position is responsible for overall management of the Department of Public Works & DPW staff. Duties include, but are not limited to; develop and implement plans for construction, reconstruction and maintenance of town infrastructure including roadways, parks, grounds, and cemeteries; oversees the collection and disposal of residential solid waste and recycling; oversees the management of the town’s Stormwater infrastructure and plan for its improvement in accordance with town, state and federal regulations; develop and manage the department’s annual operational and capital budgets.

Education, Training, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field; seven to ten years of responsible work experience in public works administration, including a minimum of five years in a supervisory capacity with a focus on municipal public works; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the required knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. MCPPO designation is preferred.

This is a Grade 13 benefit eligible, an exempt position classified under the town’s Classification and Compensation Plan. Anticipated hiring range: $103,904.52 to $109,155.63 annually (full salary range to $129738.30).
